H-1B Filing for FY 2010 Reach 44,900: USCIS

The filing of H-1B cap subject petitions for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2010 appears to have hit a lean patch. As of July 10, 2009, approximately 44, 900 H-1B petitions had been received by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and counted towards the H-1B cap. Although, the Service received approximately 20,000 petitions qualifying for the advanced degree cap exemption, it will continue to accept both cap-subject petitions and advanced degree petitions considering the attainment of the statutory limits.
