General Dynamics Information Technology has bagged an indefinite delivery and quantity contract from U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to develop secure credentials for immigrants seeking employment within the United States. With initial value of $1 million, the contract could be worth $22 million over five years.

Under this contract, General Dynamics will develop the design and security characteristics for the new counterfeit-resistant polycarbonate Employment Authorization Document, an identification card issued to legal U.S. immigrants to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the U.S.. Commenting on the development, Senior Vice President of General Dynamics Information Technology’s Civilian and Homeland Security Solutions Division, Marcus Collier said, “General Dynamics understands USCIS’ increasing need to verify the identities of those working in the United States and to protect the American public from potential foreign threats.”
