Review: Self Made World
August 29, 2007 – 6:59 pmSelf Made World is a site whose mission statement I applaud. Although obviously a project in its beginning stages, it aims to provide resources for aspiring and recent immigrants and immigrant-entrepreneurs. The web-portal is structured using Wiki and so it will appear very familiar to those of us that are avid Wikipedia users. They aim to provide information to those seeking to immigrate to the U.S. and also provide inspirational biographies and videos of successful immigrants and immigrant-entrepreneurs. Currently they have a couple of videos profiling immigrant-entrepreneurs. One which I already showed a few days ago featuring an immigrant from the United Kingdom and another featuring a female entrepreneur from Belarus. You can watch this video at their site or below this posting. I really love the concept and hope that my readers will visit the site and add to its content. You can create your own bio and tell the world about your achievements as an immigrant-entrepreneur. Or at least peruse their pages and find some inspiration to make the jump to an employer-free lifestyle. I know I will.
