U Nonimmigrant Interim Relief Extended Till February 01, 2010

Replacing its earlier December 15, 2009 update, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) have issued a fresh update extending the filing deadline for U nonimmigrant Interim Relief Program till February 01, 2009, while simultaneously encouraging individuals to file Form I-918, Petition for U Nonimmigrant status.
Readers may recall that on December 16, 2009 we have published news “USCIS Intends to End U NI Interim Relief, Beneficiaries told to Apply for Visa” about USCIS’ intention to end U nonimmigrant Interim Relief Program.
