AILA Request USCIS to Holdup I-9 Effective Date

On January 28, 2009, AILA President and Executive Director sent a letter requesting USCIS to delay the effective date of the revisions to the I-9 regulations and I-9 Form. AILA found inadequacies in the proposed interim final regulation and proposed form. To clarify these inadequacies AILA raised some questions, which were unanswered. As the effective date of February 2, 2009, is fast approaching AILA requested the Service to either clarify the doubts raised or delay the implementation of the rule.
