EOIR’s Latest Disciplinary Actions

In yet another disciplinary action against erring attorneys, the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) has recently taken a disciplinary action against 12 attorneys for violations of the Rules of Professional Conduct for immigration practitioners. However, two attorneys were later reinstated. The public is informed that these attorneys are no longer authorized to represent clients before an immigration tribunal. Most of these actions taken by the EOIR are based on a sanction imposed by another jurisdiction or a criminal conviction.
