DOS Announces Public Meeting on Trafficking Victims

dos3To share expertise and inputs into the development and distribution of an information pamphlet on legal rights and resources for aliens applying for employment or education-based nonimmigrant visas, the Department of State (DOS) is conducting Public Meeting on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Loy Henderson Auditorium. The focal point would on section 202 of the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008. The DOS has invited non-governmental organizations, and experts on the legal rights of workers and victims of severe forms of trafficking in persons to speak about their and others ordeals. The DOS aims to collect information and translate it into all relevant foreign languages that are spoken by greatest concentrations of employment or education-based visa applicants.
