USCIS Revises Form I-601, Application for Waiver of Inadmissibility Grounds

i-601The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) have announced revisions to Form I-601, the Application for Waiver of Grounds of Inadmissibility. As of January 4, 2010, infection with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is no longer a ground of inadmissibility and applicants who have been diagnosed with acute HIV infection are no longer inadmissible to the U.S. and are no longer required to file Form I-601. USCIS additionally notes that there are revised filing instructions and changes in filing location for Form I-601. Additional information on updated filing location as well as its instructions is also available on its website www.uscis.gov .
